Ciaté advent calender

  

Whilst I was at the clothes show the other week I came across the ciaté stand. I've heard of ciaté before but have never tried the nail polish.. I know crazy. However my lovely friend assured me that the nail polishes we're really good, so we had a gander on what was on offer. 

I spotted this advent calender for £20 (on offer as it was the 5th of December) so I had to have it. 

I have been surprisingly impressed with the variety I have been getting in the calender and the quality of the nail polishes themselves, I will most definitely be purchasing more from the ciaté range in the near future.

Last minute - Men's Christmas gift guide

I don't know about you but I think men are a nightmare to buy for! Whether it's a close family friend/relative or your significant other, it can be a a real struggle to try and get that perfect gift for the festive season. 

I've put together a few varied gifts which I think meet every guys niche.

1. Beats Studio in matte black (£270) by Beats by Dre, now these are a little pricey but the quality and sound experience you receive from these headphones truly out ways the price tag - these would be fantastic for someone who appreciates good sound quality.  

2. Liz Earle men's try-me kit (£20) from John Lewis, this set is great for those men who love a good pamper - and at £20 its a steal.

3. Wahl rota trim wet goods trimmer kit (£19.99 was £34.99) from Wahl UK, as beards are all the range at the moment I thought it would only be right to include a this. This set includes added extras such as a comb and can trim and/or cut facial hair - bargain!

4. Google Chromecast HDMI media streaming device (£30) from John Lewis, now this is brilliant for anyone who hates watching their favourite shows on their laptop or tablet, as this device allows you to watch all your favourite shows on your television in just the click of a button (WIFI required). It also includes a 3 months free Google play and entertainment pass (if activated before 31st January 2015).

5. Only the brave Eau De Toilette Christmas gift set (£41) from Debenhams, this aftershave smells amazing and comes in a lovely gift box. What more could they ask for?

6. Wallet ninja (£5.49) from Amazon, what man could ask for more? This 16 in 1 gadget tool will keep them tinkering for ages!

Clothes show 2014

The other week I was lucky enough to go to the clothes show in Birmingham.

I have never been before and was not disappointed in the slightest! I loved wandering around the stalls seeing all the beauty products and most of all I loved the cat walk show.

REDS TRUE BBQ

Last week I went to Reds in Manchester for the first time, and I was not disappointed! 

Reds is a restaurant like no other, from the furnishing to the food. 

As I walked in I was immediately in love with the place, the doors are old and wooden, the lighting dim, the kitchen is on show so you can watch the chefs do their thing and the music is just perfect. 

I ordered the pulled pork and 'slaw' with a side of onion rings. The pork was out of the world, amazingly soft with some yummy crackling on top for that added crunch. I wasn't looking forward to the 'slaw' which came with it, as I am not a fan of coleslaw at all, but I thought I'd give it a try; and I was extremely happy with my decision. I was the perfect accompaniment to the pork.

Boots at Christmas

I don't know about you - but I feel Boots is the perfect place to grab some gifts for Christmas, whether its a gift for family/friends or a cheeky present to yourself. 

These are my favourite gifts at Boots which I will definitely be putting on my Christmas list this year.

I love love love candles, especially Christmas ones and these Yankee candles smell amazing they will be perfect for lighting whilst lounging in front of the tele this winter. 

Clarins skin care set, need I say more?

This Ted Baker fragrance set is super cute, it contains four seasonal scents in fabulously stylish bottles all for a tiny £12.

Soap and glory never fail to impress, their gift sets are always on point. I especially love the body butters.

What could be more perfect than sitting around the Christmas table, eating your dinner and finishing it off with a No7 cracker - "Oh a nail varnish! much better than the paper clip I got last year".

London

Recently me and my friend went to London for a much needed break after a stressful couple of months at uni. 

We spent two days wandering around the tourist attractions and eating amazing food - what could be better?

Some of the places we visited included the monument (all 311 steps of it), London bridge, Buckingham palace and of course Oxford street. 

I was also introduced to the 'shake shack'  which I instantly loved - mmm cheesy chips.

Vintage storage

I've been wanting some new bedroom furniture for a while now so I thought I'd head to my local Dunelm store to have a gander.

I was not expecting to find anything, so when I came across these perfect trunks I knew I had to have them. I love the simplistic-ness of them and that they are hand painted to give them that extra something. 

I opted for the small and medium chests and they did not disappoint, I've managed to fit everything in I wanted and more.

They come in four different sizes and at very reasonable prices ranging from £4.99-£29.99.
